My work looks at how the relation between objects in pictorial space can be represented to convey and contain political concepts. I am exploring how contemporary still-life painting can offer propositions for thinking about political ideologies to audiences.

A Catholic education focuses on the history of religious symbolism within Dutch still-life painting. The painting is rich with symbols and metaphors that revolve around the memory (a very often comical memory) of my teenage years at a Catholic high school.
