Within my painting practice I investigate how observation and memory interact. I integrate personal observations alongside those shared within the collective digital realm, mirroring the way in which we interpret images through the combined spaces of the digital and the real.

In this work, Apologetic forest, I have depicted an imagined landscape using forms drawn from my own archive of photography (that documents the minutiae from my everyday life) along with imagery collected online from social media. These visual fragments are layered together, exploring through this accumulation the depth and complexity of a constructed space that holds a myriad of subjective experiences.
