Wynne Prize 1939
According to the trustees’ minutes, the works ‘nominated for consideration’ for the Wynne Prize 1939, in addition to Will Ashton’s, were the two paintings by Sydney Long and William Rowell’s Central Queensland. Long was a trustee at the time.
