Viola Dominello On the river

The almighty Hawkesbury River is never the same place and it holds its secret life close to its edge. I carry this unfolding world about with me in my sketchbooks, painting the landscape in thin liquid washes en plein air in a tinny, from Wisemans Ferry to Marra Creek or Berowra Waters. The work is relatively undeveloped like the landscape – and I hope it stays that way.
