Heidi Yardley This evening so soon
oil on board
32 x 38 cm
This painting combines memories of walks toward the beach at twilight in various parts of Victoria. The native tea trees are always beautiful and eerie in their random formations. Knotted branches seem to deny a direct path so you are invited to meander. The distant light is a promise of open space and the vast horizon. This painting represents awareness of the journey rather than the destination. The title is taken from a Bob Dylan song.
