Stuart Watters Kultureland

My interpretation of the Australian landscape is influenced by the concept that landscape is culture before it is nature. The work presents a vision which goes beyond natural appearances and uses myth and memory as a way to connect with the landscape. The finished work presents a visual language possessing unfamiliar and peculiar properties that embody the intrusion of some abstract dimension into the real world.
