Guido (Guy) Maestri Self-portrait (for posterity)

Though the classical bust is something commonly referenced and ever-present in contemporary art and society, the tradition, practice and materiality of the bust is a dying art. With this plasticised and defaced self-portrait I don’t intend to mock tradition, more to present a version of a traditional standard that aligns itself with the material values of the 21st century.
