Sally Willbanks Frogs Holla

Frogs Holla, in New South Wales, depicts a prominent Milton scene that epitomises the beauty of where I live. I am interested in exploring the wonder of the natural landscape by minimising the details and reducing the scene to fundamental shapes. Driving the road portrayed in this painting, I am often struck by the serenity of my home, and I wanted to recreate that sense of peace on canvas. For me, colour, composition and minimising detail are integral to creating the restful mood of the painting.
