Katie Daniels Before they all came true

This painting was born out of recent travel to Tasmania and depicts one of the many hiking paths through the bush. I created a series of works based on these walks, which were all taken with my partner on our first holiday together. I guess I began thinking about the beauty of the inner journey; what is gained and lost as we progress, and how we are continuously transformed by our experience. And this idea of transformation and change was present in the landscape we walked through, that the path itself was different for everyone who walked it. Things unseen but deeply felt.
