Lily Santamaria Untitled

This painting is of my mum. Mum and I are similar in many ways, particularly in the fact that we are both dyslexic. We both struggled to learn to read and neither of us spell well at all. My portrait of Mum includes many of the common mistakes we both make when writing, reading and speaking. Mum always understands my frustration I feel within my own dyslexia and I look up to her for the determination to keep trying. Also, Mum is the most loving, caring mum ever!!
