Hannah Batchelor Great-grandma

I have chosen to depict my great-grandma Wilga who, at the beginning of this year, celebrated her 103rd birthday. In my piece I have aimed to capture her infectious love for life and in particular her love for family. My great-grandma is an extremely influential figure in my life, helping me to break away from materialistic values and to see that in the end life is about, amongst other things, the relationships you’ve created and the lasting impact you’ve left behind. I thank her for all that she’s done and all that she continues to do.
