Casey Sessions The child within

My inspiration for this painting is my older sister Erin. Throughout my childhood I have seen my sister grow up, face challenges and inevitably overcome them. However, with age comes responsibilities and stress, leaving less time to enjoy the smaller things in life. I have painted my sister at this period in her life, with her younger self whispering into her ear. This is to symbolise how as we grow older, we wish to go back to the simpler times in our life, our childhood.
