Emily Chanjin Yun Looking away

The shape of the nose, the distance between the eyes, the plumpness of the lips and the fineness of each hair strand. I chose this face as it is the face I am most familiar with. She is the girl who looks straight at me in the mirror. As I created this self-portrait, I found myself observing every little detail of my face. By making myself look away in the portrait, I intended to capture the moment that I glance away with the purpose of noticing something new when I turn back.
