About
"Upwey Station. I had to wait for about an hour for a train to appear. I needed some activity to bring the whole scene to life. The station has long since been pulled down and a modern one built to take electric trains".
Alan Sumner quoted in Roger Butler, 'Alan Sumner screenprints: A catalogue Raisonné', Eastgate Gallery, Melbourne, 1993
