This closely observed drawing of two women drinking in a bar is remarkable in its pithy attention to detail; the subjects' discontent and boredom is palpable, while the viewer is transported immediately into the demi-monde of a Sydney pub's "ladies Lounge" or a European café, with its marble topped, cast iron café tables.
