Willoughby Wallace Hooper (1837-1912) was in the 7th Madras Light Cavalry. He particularly photographed hunting expeditions and Anglo-Indian life scenes, but he is also known for his images of the Madras famine in 1876-78 and the third Anglo-Burmese war of the mid 1880s.
