  • About

Pamela Challis’ imagery was sourced from the natural world, often depicting the bush surrounding Canberra, where she lived. Her process and use of colour reflects the work of some of her contemporaries, most particularly Jörg Schmeisser (under whom she studied at the Canberra School of Art), particularly in her use of the soft-ground technique.
