This piece was probably produced at the Chelsea works after its acquisition by Duesbury. It belongs to a category generally described as ‘Chelsea-Derby’. The turquoise blue ground and monochrome cherubs evoke Vincennes- Sèvres porcelain of 20 years earlier.
